I bought this for two reasons: 1) To help me learn basic PHP programming by example and 2) To enable me to do backups a little easier on a PHP site I am currently using and getting ready for launch . It is reasonably self explanatory in use and I have to admit its super fast in creating the backup but of course it only backs up the files of the site and not the database associated with the site. The site I am working with has its own backup system which is for the database only, so combined with this script gives me almost everything I need for safe backups except for being completely automated. There are some drawbacks such as 1. I only seem to be able to have one backup at any one time. 2. There seems to be some hard coded naming within the script so for instance you cannot rename the enclosing directory without it causing problems. 3. It excludes itself from the backup - although easily fixed. 4. Not completely secure as the login information is stored non encrypted. 5. Would have been nice to choose where the backup was sent to other than just being a local download i.e. dropbox, Amazon S3 or similar. Overall is it worth the cost - well yes, it does what it says on the box and is very fast.

Since uses several vars sent from hidden fields cannot perform a complete backup since in php.ini max_input_vars is often set to 3000 instead of 10000 and fancyform doesn't works on recent version of web browser. For fixing these issues php.ini should set with max_input_vars to 10000 and this could be done using a custom php.ini put inside the folder containing the script while the second issue is due to obsolete javascript that cannot able the user to select all files or some ones...

Initially, I had trouble getting a response from tech support, but several months later I tried again and on a Sunday night I got a response along with an updated file. The new updated file has a couple minor bugs... but overall this does exactly what you want it to do - and this is backup you online files
